Medications Assistance

The Medication Access Program helps patients, who qualify, get prescription medicines. Many drug companies give free prescription medicines to people who cannot afford them.

To be eligible:

  • You must be uninsured or not have prescription insurance, Medicaid or Medicare-D

To apply:
Patients see a Medication Case Worker by appointment.
Call 757-259-3256 to make an appointment.

  • You will need your Social Security number.

  • You will need proof of household income (tax return(s), pay stubs, SSI, unemployment, spousal support, etc.).

A Medication Case Worker will help you with the paperwork. When the application process is submitted, it will take four to six weeks for the medications to arrive.
