OTMDC and its many valued community partners, offer clinics throughout the year to provide a variety of needed healthcare services. These free clinics are provided to assist individuals in getting essential preventative healthcare.

Cathy L. Pennock Clinic : July

This walk-in clinic provides free cervical screenings, including PAP smears, and clinical breast exams. The clinic was established in memory of Cathy Lynn Pennock who lost her two year battle with cervical cancer in 2004. Since 2005, hundreds of women, 18 and over, have had these vital screenings.

Winter Woman's Health Screening : January

OTMDC and Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center jointly sponsor this walk-in clinic to provide uninsured women with free PAP smears, cervical screenings, and clinical breast exams in accordance to ACOG (American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) guidelines.

Who should be screened? According to current recommendations,

  • Women aged 21-29 should have a Pap test every 3 years.

  • Women aged 30-65 should have a Pap test and HPV test every 5 years. It is acceptable to have a Pap test alone every 3 years.
